Vice City

Vice City is the crown jewel of GTA 6's Leonida map and represents Rockstar's most ambitious urban environment to date. Unlike the 1980s pastel-soaked Vice City of 2002, this is a contemporary reimagining — a city that has evolved through decades of development, gentrification, immigration, and cultural transformation, just like real Miami.

From the trailers and official screenshots, we can confirm that Vice City includes a faithful recreation of South Beach's iconic Ocean Drive, complete with art deco architecture that mirrors the real-world Miami Beach Architectural District. The buildings feature the characteristic geometric shapes, porthole windows, eyebrow overhangs, and neon accent lighting that define this unique architectural style. However, Rockstar hasn't simply copy-pasted Miami — they've created a heightened, stylized version that feels both authentic and distinctly GTA.

The downtown core visible in Trailer 2 shows a modern skyline with skyscrapers that echo the Brickell financial district. We can spot analogues to real buildings like the Panorama Tower and the Four Seasons Hotel. The density of the urban environment is extraordinary — streets are packed with pedestrians, vehicles, food carts, and ambient activity that makes Liberty City in GTA IV look sparse by comparison.

What's particularly fascinating is how Rockstar appears to be handling Vice City's diverse neighborhoods. We've seen glimpses of what appears to be a Little Havana equivalent with Cuban restaurants, domino tables on sidewalks, and murals celebrating Latin culture. There's also what looks like a Wynwood-inspired arts district with massive wall murals and converted warehouse galleries. These aren't just cosmetic differences — each neighborhood appears to have its own ambient soundscape, NPC demographics, vehicle types, and even lighting palette.

The waterfront areas are stunning. The Port of Miami equivalent features massive cruise ships, cargo operations, and a causeway system connecting the mainland to the beach islands. Marina areas show luxury yachts that will almost certainly be purchasable or stealable. The beach itself stretches for what appears to be kilometers of playable coastline, with lifeguard towers, beach volleyball courts, and the kind of people-watching opportunities that make South Beach famous worldwide.

Vice City at night is where the technical showcase truly shines. Neon reflections on wet pavement, the glow of nightclub districts, headlights streaming across causeways, and the distant shimmer of the skyline across Biscayne Bay — it's a visual masterpiece that leverages every ounce of current-gen hardware. The city transforms completely after dark, with different NPC behaviors, activities, and an energy that captures Miami's reputation as a city that never sleeps.
